Aquatics Reports to : Director of Aquatics The Aquatics Manager oversees the daily operations of Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark, ensuring exceptional safety, service, and operational excellence. This role leads by example, upholding the highest standards established by Ellis & Associates, Inc. and Camelback Resort, while fostering a positive, high-energy environment for both guests and associates. Aquatics Managers are culture leaders who create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating environment for both associates and guests. They build strong relationships with their teams through trust, approachability, and consistent presence, taking time to coach, listen, and develop associates at every level. By recognizing effort, celebrating success, and providing clear expectations, Managers empower associates to feel confident, valued, and proud of the work they do—resulting in genuine guest connection, consistent service excellence and memorable waterpark experiences.Key Responsibilities:

Warmth, Personalization, Awareness, and Proactivity in all guest and team interactions Lead and promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating and reinforcing a constant "think safe" mindset Oversee daily aquatic operations to ensure safety readiness, cleanliness, staffing coverage, and operational excellence Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and manage performance for aquatics associates, fostering accountability and professional growth Develop, implement, and manage staff schedules to align with operational demands, labor goals and regulatory compliance Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting while maintaining fiscal responsibility within approved guidelines Apply strong business acumen by analyzing operational data, labor trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost control, revenue support, and continuous improvement Plan, implement, and support comprehensive associate training and leadership development programs Conduct and participate in Vigilance Awareness Training (VAT) and ongoing in-service training in accordance with Ellis & Associates standards Maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable local, state, and federal regulations; ensure full compliance at all times Serve as a part of the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation and respond effectively to operational and emergency situations Drive achievement of departmental goals, KPI's, and performance metrics through engagement, communication, and follow-through Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall resort and aquatics operationsQualifications and Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older Proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a large, diverse aquatics staff Minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience within a large aquatic operation featuring multiple attractions Demonstrated passion for aquatic safety, risk management, and guest service excellence Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Ability to remain calm, decisive, and take command in emergency situations Ability to perform all lifeguard duties and maintain the required physical condition Knowledge of proper incident reporting and documentation procedures Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed Ellis & Associates Instructor License required or ability to obtain Must be able to read and speak English; additional languages are a plusBenefits/Perks :
