Aquatics Manager

Bear Paddle Swim School uses a results-focused, story-based approach to teaching lessons to build confident and skilled swimmers, so parents can rest assured that their child is having fun while learning to swim. We are currently developing lifelong swimmers in 14 locations across the US. Bear Paddle Swim School is seeking a qualified and motivated Aquatics Manager (Lessons Experience Manager) who will be responsible for ensuring the Swim School meets all financial goals while providing the highest quality swim lessons, customer service, and facility standards. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of swim lesson structure including a background knowledge of competitive swimming. The Lesson Experience Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating the swim lessons and procedures with the Swim School Manager to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency. This role reports to the Swim School Manager. This is a full-time, salaried role, located in Bloomingdale, IL, and will report to the Swim School Manager. This role is benefits-eligible including medical and dental insurance, HSA options, and 401k. Evening and weekend availability is required to be present during peak business hours. Key Responsibilities Ensure swim lessons are being taught using the Bear Paddle Method of teaching to the highest level. Ensure teachers are up to date on all aspects of Bear Paddle's Teacher training. Ensure teachers are teaching swim lessons at the level they are qualified to teach. Ensure swim lessons are being taught in a safe environment Communicating with families regarding progress within the lessons

Assist with staffing and scheduling of team members Qualifications Competitive or formal swim background, preferably 2+ years. Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff of at least 5 people. Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others. Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and difficult situations. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to carry out department management's policies and expectations. Preferred Skills Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
