Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Architect to join our creative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming conceptual ideas into detailed, functional, and aesthetically compelling architectural designs. Your expertise will drive the development of projects from initial sketches through construction documentation, ensuring designs meet client needs, budget constraints, and regulatory standards. The role will provide technical advisory and assistance services for support in Facility Sustainment, Restoration & Modernization (FSRM), MILCON (Military Construction), Defense Economic (DEAAG) and Non-Appropriated (NAF) programs. This work is for specific functions related to Air Force Program Management, Cost Estimating, Architectural/Engineering Design and Construction Management/Inspection. (Not a Federal Job) Responsibilities Develop and refine architectural concepts through sketches, 3D models, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and ArchiCAD. Prepare comprehensive construction documents and detailed drafting to facilitate smooth project execution. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate project requirements and ensure design intent is maintained throughout all phases. Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating to ensure timely delivery within financial parameters. Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage deadlines, and facilitate effective communication across teams. Conduct site visits for renovation projects or new construction to oversee construction management and ensure adherence to design specifications. Qualifications Personnel must be degreed in Architecture through an National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) program and either licensed as a Registered Architect (R.A.), by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico, or provide an adequate combination of Education and Experience. Personnel must be proficient in; drafting and the preparation of plans, preferably using AutoDesk products such as AutoCad, specification writing, preferably using SpecsIntact or similar applications, and cost estimation, preferably using software such as RSMeans or E4Clicks. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe products such as Acrobat. Personnel must hold a degree in Architecture or related field and must have minimum 10 years' experience in the architecture, design, and/or construction field. This includes a history of utilizing CADD system to prepare drawings, layouts and design specifications, applying project management principles, methods, and tools to resolve architectural problems, and applying architectural design, construction, and improvement to buildings. Resumes showing a work history affecting federal, military, and/or civic buildings will be preferred. Personnel must have a history of performing tasks related to design including code research and interpretation, and familiarity with Americans w/ Disabilities Act (ABA) or Architectural Barriers Act (ABA). Architectural and design experience with higher education facilities, such as colleges, universities, secure facilities such as Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), and/or facilities with major telecommunication system upgrades will be preferred.
