Residential Architect (5 Year Experience ADU)

If you don't have a lot of experience with San Diego city building codes and new construction housing, please do not apply! Design and Build company is looking for an architect/interior designer/drafter for a full-time office position who will manage all the existing and future projects. Company is specializing in kitchen, bathrooms and full home remodeling, as well as ADUs, additions and new constructions.

Primary Role:

Execute the production of project plans, elevations, sections, and details for architectural and design projects. Read, understand, and decipher plans, specifications, shop drawings, engineering drawings, project schedules and plan redlines proficiently. Coordinate plan updates or changes throughout the duration of a project. Other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience with architectural design and/or drafting on custom projects - custom residential. Knowledge of property measurements, 3D rendering, City codes, permitting, AutoCAD and other designer's platforms. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work schedule accordingly, often against tight deadlines. Microsoft Suite - Outlook, Excel, and Word. Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to follow process, are keys to success in this role. Work closely with all members of our team, including vendors, clients, construction, and engineers to make sure that the project is successful.
