Senior Project Architect Tampa Office
- Tampa, FL 33602 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Travel Percentage Up to 25% Apply Overview of Position OSPORTS, a division of The Osborn Engineering Company, has a rich heritage of sports, entertainment planning, and design dating back to 1909, when the firm designed League Park, the first home of Cleveland's major league baseball team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Documentation and Delivery of architectural documentation for projects from conception through construction. Research code requirements and ensures feasibility of design solutions. Follows and manages project budget, work plan, consultants, and schedule. Communicates with Project Manager and other project architects regarding key deliverable dates. Creates design solutions to meet client specifications. Creates Project Manual and Specifications. Maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team. Acts as an intermediary between the client and the architectural team. Promotes communication through team meetings, minutes, and up-date memos to project team including consultants. Ensures project documentation is in compliance with company standards. Coordinates team effort to complete a project promptly and successfully, while ensuring that the team is working effectively and keeping to the schedule and budget. Construction administration including processing of submittals, RFI's, and other project documentation during construction. Provides office leadership including professional development coaching and mentoring staff. Consistently reviews work and communicate needs and concerns to project staff. Defines staff requirements for projects as needed or directed. All other duties and responsibilities as required. Travel and overtime may be expected.Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture. Must have 6+ years of project architect experience within one or more of the following fields: Sports (stadiums, arenas, ballparks, practice facilities, master planning, and collegiate facilities). Must have strong understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements. Registered Architect w/ active license, NCARB certified is a plus. Ability to provide efficient and elegant 2D and 3D design solutions. Excellent communication skills, able to have a solid working relationship with clients. Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills. Guide design, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness. Understanding of architectural building systems. Proficient in current version of Revit- required. Proficient in AutoCad
