Your Role We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our growing team in Aurora, IL. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, advanced Revit proficiency, and the ability to lead projects from concept through construction. This individual will play a key role in project delivery while mentoring and developing less experienced staff. The Project Architect will be responsible for coordinating project teams, maintaining technical quality standards, and ensuring successful execution of projects while serving as a trusted resource for both clients and internal team members. Experience with K-12 educational facilities is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the unique planning, design, phasing, and construction challenges associated with occupied school environments and will be comfortable collaborating with school districts, administrators, consultants, and contractors throughout all phases of a project. Experience with municipal, community, and public-sector projects is also a plus. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program. 4-5 years of architectural experience, including project management responsibilities. Architectural licensure preferred. Advanced proficiency in Revit required. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, construction methods, building codes, and industry standards. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven experience mentoring junior staff and leading project teams. Preferred Experience Experience managing K-12 educational projects through all phases of design and construction. Experience with municipal and residential project types a plus. Strong understanding of educational facility planning but municipal project requirements, and residential design principles a plus. Experience coordinating with school districts and public agencies. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and applicable certification programs. Experience with additional design and project management software is a plus.
