Job Description
Senior Technical Architect or Designer Our client is seeking an experienced architectural professional to join their Boston team in a leadership capacity. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical challenges, client engagement, and team mentorship. This role will be primarily focused on Corporate Workplace Interiors, as well as Multi-family and Mixed-use buildings. If you enjoy shaping project outcomes, guiding teams, and contributing to the growth of a studio, consider applying. Key Responsibilities Lead project teams through detailed design, documentation, and construction phases, ensuring clarity, coordination, and high-quality outcomes. Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, facilitating conversations, presenting ideas, and translating project goals into actionable decisions. Provide hands-on leadership that supports the team during critical project milestones and fosters a collaborative working environment. Review design concepts and technical decisions to ensure alignment with aesthetic goals and architectural integrity. Mentor emerging professionals by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, and encouraging professional development. Support pursuit efforts and help strengthen client relationships to advance the studio's long-term growth. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain project momentum and uphold high standards of execution. Required Qualifications Extensive experience guiding architectural projects through documentation, coordination, and construction. Confident communication skills, with the ability to represent the studio professionally in meetings and presentations. Strong command of building systems, materials, and construction methods. Ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. A proactive, accountable work style with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through. Familiarity with the Boston architecture and construction landscape, including local processes, regulations, and industry partners. Proficiency in Revit preferred; experience with AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools, Adobe Creative Suite, and general productivity software is beneficial. Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure is strongly encouraged.
