Job Description

Lead Complex Healthcare Projects That Impact Communities An established, multidisciplinary architecture and interior design firm is seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex healthcare environments. This is a leadership role for a licensed architect with strong technical expertise and a passion for improving patient experience through thoughtful, high performing design. With a strong presence in healthcare, education, municipal, and nonprofit sectors, this firm is known for its collaborative culture, sustainable design approach, and long-standing client relationships. What You'll Do Lead Healthcare Design + Delivery Oversee the design and execution of hospitals, ambulatory care centers, and medical office buildings Manage multiple projects or large, complex programs from concept through construction Guide programming, planning strategies, and design direction Drive Technical Excellence Lead production and review of drawings, specifications, and construction documents Ensure compliance with healthcare codes and standards (FGI, NFPA, ADA, local regulations) Conduct QA/QC reviews to maintain high technical quality Manage Projects + Teams Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and performance Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants Act as a discipline lead on large, integrated projects Mentor + Lead Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior and mid-level staff Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment Support Clients + Business Development Build and maintain strong client relationships Contribute to proposals, presentations, and project pursuits Support construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits What You Bring Licensed Architect required 10+ years of experience, with a strong focus on healthcare design Deep knowledge of healthcare planning, codes, and regulatory requirements Experience delivering projects in active/occupied healthcare environments Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in Revit/BIM and standard design tools Why Join Established, design focused firm with a strong healthcare portfolio Collaborative, team-oriented culture with a focus on mentorship Opportunity to lead impactful, community-centered projects Commitment to sustainability and thoughtful design solutions Professional development support and long-term growth opportunities If you are interested in this position, apply now!
