Job Description

Job Title:
Project Architect Job Description The Project Architect is responsible for developing design and technical solutions either independently or under the general direction of tenured project leaders. The role may also involve leading projects as needed. The candidate will assist with various project management tasks such as developing project scope, work plans, schedules, and monitoring work progress. Effective communication of project requirements, established presentation, and quality control procedures to team members is essential, as is coordinating meetings and communications with other departments and outside consultants. Responsibilities + Develop design and technical solutions independently or under the guidance of the Project Architect and Project Manager. + Assist with project management tasks including developing project scope, work plans, and schedules. + Ensure effective communication of project requirements and coordinate meetings and communications with other departments and consultants. + Produce construction documents under the general direction of the Project Architect or Project Manager. + Assist in data collection, documentation, and analysis for programming and existing facilities assessment. + Perform materials research, assist in the preparation of specifications, and coordinate with the Specification Writer. + Research applicable building codes, perform required calculations, and document compliance with code requirements. + Coordinate with government regulatory agencies. + Review shop drawings and ensure adherence to company standards. + Perform construction site visits and construction administration tasks under supervision. + Direct efforts of interns and others through mentoring and supervision. + Coordinate architectural work with other disciplines. + Maintain project files in accordance with established standards and procedures. + Assess, solve, and document issues during construction. + Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Revit, Architectural Design, and Construction Administration. + Experience with creating construction documents and 3D/2D models. + 3-10 years of firm experience. + Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Master's Preferred). + Experience with complex architectural projects such as Higher Education, Healthcare, and Public/Civic projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Registered architect certification is nice to have. Work Environment The role is based in an in-office firm that values flexibility but places a strong emphasis on collaboration within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction teams. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
