Architect/Architectural draftsman

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Architect or Architectural Draftsman to join our boutique, award-winning design firm. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming preliminary sketches and CAD drawings into precise, comprehensive architectural construction drawings and 3D models for very high-end custom homes in Indiana and throughout the U.S.. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful designs while honing your technical skills in a collaborative environment that values creativity and precision. Responsibilities Develop detailed architectural drawings, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit. Create 3D models and visualizations to bring concepts to life. Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and verification of existing conditions to produce as-built drawings. Depending upon experience level, candidate may also conduct site visits for under-construction projects to check for accuracy of the construction adhering to the construction drawings and for meeting residential construction standards and code compliance. Maintain organized project files, revision histories, and documentation for seamless collaboration across the team. Requirements Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Extensive experience creating construction documents for large residential homes. Extensive experience creating framing (wood-framed) details and cross-sections supporting the construction drawings.

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT WELL VERSED IN WOOD FRAMING TECHNIQUES AND DETAILING AND DO NOT HAVE A PORTFOLIO TO DEMONSTRATE SUCH.

Ability to produce precise 2D drawings as well as compelling 3D visualizations for presentations. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and supporting trades. Qualified applicants may be anywhere on the spectrum from graduate architect to registered architect with pay being commensurate with experience. Position is full time, in-office, with no remote work or hybrid work situations available.

Pay:

$28.00 - $57.00 per hour
