Job Description
Position SummaryWe are a small, collaborative architecture firm based in Leesburg seeking a registered architect who is equally strong in production and project management. The ideal candidate is comfortable independently leading small to medium sized projects from concept through construction with minimal oversight. This role is hands on, client facing, and integral to the day to day operation and long term growth of the firm.
Our work is primarily local and county based and includes multifamily, cultural, municipal, retail, residential, and faith based projects. Candidates should be capable and competent across this range of project types.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management and LeadershipIndependently manage architectural projects from initial concept through construction administrationOversee scope, schedule, budget, and coordination with limited oversightServe as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and local jurisdictionsNavigate county review processes and public sector requirementsProduction and Technical WorkActively produce drawings and documentation across all phases of workMaintain technical quality, coordination, and constructabilityCoordinate consultants and review their deliverablesEnsure compliance with applicable codes, zoning ordinances, and accessibility standardsClient and Team EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with repeat local and county clientsParticipate in project meetings, community engagements, and site visitsCollaborate closely with a small in office team where flexibility and accountability are essentialRequired QualificationsRegistered ArchitectDemonstrated ability to manage and produce small to medium sized projects from start to finishStrong technical knowledge of architectural documentation and construction administrationComfortable working independently while contributing to a small team environmentExcellent communication, organization, and problem solving skillsWork EnvironmentIn office work is preferred to support collaboration in a small firm settingTelecommuting may be discussed, up to one day per weekGrowth OpportunityThis position has the potential to lead to equity participation for the right personIdeal for a candidate seeking long term involvement, leadership responsibility, and investment in a small, locally focused firm
