Our mission is to design engaging workplaces for great companies. We are currently experiencing exciting growth and seeking a Project Architect to play a pivotal role in our San Francisco studio.
Role:
The Project Architect oversees the technical aspects of the project(s) including the architectural and/or interior documentation, detailing, construction materials, specifications, building codes, planning approvals process and construction observation. They mentor the Job Captain(s) and other team members and review their documentation, and work with the Project Manager to meet budget, milestones and deliverables. Provide periodic review of the consultants' work and convey client's goals and design intent. This position will have close interaction with clients on both architectural and interiors projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversees design of work to meet project requirements Communicates with Project Manager/Project Architect/Job Captain on program, design, budget and schedule for timely and appropriate design development Collaborates and communicates with designers and other team members Reviews strategy for documents framework and reviews for conformance with RMW standards Assists the management of the project Responsible for code review and city requirements. Enlists support in cases of new code requirements and advanced building technologies. Research code and zoning updates and educate staff. Coordinates and reviews production of Specifications with Job Captain and Specification Writer Provides supervision and quality-control review of team. Supports technical reviews for QAQC. Implements office standards, policies and procedures Develop solutions that integrate building systems, structure, and technology requirements Coordinates consultants' work and/or closely supports Job Captain's coordination during all project phases Oversees Construction Administration with reviews of team's site observations, RFIs and submittals Conducts construction observation reviewing construction for general conformance with the design concept and technical requirements

Qualifications:
Professional degree or recognized equivalent with experience involving design, production, construction and management Licensed Architect; additional credentials encouraged 7+ years of experience coordinating project resources, including an expanded consultant team, and on average, a staff team of 4-6 people Commitment to design excellence and document quality Experience overseeing design development and documentation on a range of project types and scales Thorough understanding of all aspects of design, building systems, building codes, construction methodology, and costs Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite For consideration, please email your resume and work samples to referencing the job title on the email subject.
