Senior Project Architect - Multifamily | Mixed-UseWe are an architecture practice dedicated to designing spaces that support people, strengthen communities, and inspire positive change. Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Project Architect with strong multifamily and mixed-use experience to lead design and delivery of complex residential and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, design leadership, and project management skills to guide teams from schematic design through construction administration. This role emphasizes Revit-based workflows, compliance with building codes and affordable housing requirements, client coordination, and mentoring junior staff to ensure high-quality, schedule-driven project outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead architectural design and technical production for multifamily and mixed-use projects, ensuring adherence to program, budget, schedule and quality standards.

Serve as Project Architect and primary client contact for assigned projects; coordinate with owners, developers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.

Develop and review construction documents, specifications, and details; ensure code compliance, constructability and coordination across disciplines.

Manage Revit project models and BIM workflows; establish standards, monitor model health, and coordinate with consultants to maintain integrated project models.

Provide construction administration services including RFI review, submittal coordination, site observation, and change management to protect project scope and schedule.

Mentor and supervise project teams, including architects, designers, and technical staff; provide technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support.

Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, fee allocations, and deliverables; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Lead permitting efforts and ensure compliance with local and state codes, affordable housing funding requirements, and accessibility standards.

Collaborate with design leadership on proposals, scope definitions, and project pursuit activities; contribute to practice development and design excellence initiatives.

Champion best practices for quality control, documentation standards, and office BIM/Revit protocols across projects.

QualificationsLicensed Architect in one or more U.S. states; NCARB certification or eligibility strongly preferred.

A professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program.

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with significant roles as Project Architect on multifamily and mixed-use projects; experience with affordable housing developments is highly desired.

Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination; strong knowledge of CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and construction documentation workflows.

Demonstrated expertise in building codes, accessibility standards, permitting processes, and affordable housing funding/compliance requirements.

Proven experience managing project teams, client relationships, consultants, and construction administration for mid-to-large scale residential/mixed-use projects.

Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge with an ability to produce clear, coordinated contract documents and construction details.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership presence, and ability to mentor junior staff.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
