Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our growing Buildings & Infrastructure team in Texas. In this role, you'll lead architectural design and technical delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and client-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead architectural design and documentation efforts from concept through construction administration Serve as Project Architect on complex building projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements Coordinate across disciplines (engineering, planning, interiors) to deliver integrated solutions Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering technical development and design excellence Manage project deliverables, schedules, and quality control processes Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure satisfaction Support project proposals, design presentations, and business development efforts Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program Licensed Architect (RA) required (Texas or ability to obtain reciprocity) 10+ years of architectural experience, including leadership on complex projects Strong knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and code compliance Proficiency with industry tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing deliverables Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills Ideally you'll also have: Experience in one or more sectors: civic, healthcare, science & technology, commercial, or higher education Familiarity with sustainable design principles (LEED accreditation preferred) Experience working within large, matrixed or global organizations Ability to contribute to business development and client growth strategies Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
