Job Description
Position Overview This is a management position requiring employee to supervise and coordinate activities of the Grading Crew. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Coordinating, planning, and supervising grading crews to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Operating equipment to perform rough grade, slope work and other excavating operations. Inspect equipment prior to use and at the end of shift. Inform Superintendent of all construction needs (material, equipment, and staffing) in a timely manner to avoid delays. Complete all paperwork in a timely manner. Inspect all grading work throughout construction process to ensure it meets specifications. The ability to operate other types of equipment is preferred. Regular and timely attendance Motor grader experience preferred Frontline safety responsibilities and management for the crew and jobsite Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience 3- 5 years' experience in finish or fine grade operation with an excavator or related experience and training. Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to understand grade stakes. Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player. Must maintain good attendance and safety record. Capability to read and understand project plans and specifications. Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
