Duties Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading and leveling asphalt using hand tools and machinery Support heavy equipment operators by preparing materials and maintaining equipment readiness Operate or assist with dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks under supervision Help with site preparation tasks such as utility locating, grading, and clearing debris to ensure smooth paving processes Maintain safety standards by following protocols during all construction activities and inspecting work areas regularly Load and unload materials using heavy equipment like loaders and dump trucks to facilitate efficient workflow Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting crew members as needed Qualifications Prior construction site experience is preferred but not required; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, or dump truck is a plus Ability to operate or assist with Caterpillar equipment is advantageous Familiarity with paving processes and utility locating enhances your suitability for this role Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship Embark on a career where your efforts directly contribute to building lasting infrastructure!
