This role involves managing construction crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. Additionally, this position supervises and mentors personnel, fostering a strong safety culture and promoting a clean and organized work environment ensuring it is maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of asphalt paving processes, , and safety protocols. Responsibilities Organizes work to get the most productivity out of the crew by instructing employees where to go, what to do, and what equipment and/or materials will be needed. Participates in pre-project and pre-task planning activities (reviews plans, subgrade, drainage, fine grading, compaction, paving, etc.) and then relays planning details to field crew. Checks plants and orders correct amount of materials daily for asphalt patching. Coordinates with Operations Assistant to order correct amount of materials needed for job. Supervises, oversees and trains crew to ensure work is performed properly and to company's highest quality standards. Checks all work for quality periodically throughout the project and at the end of the job. Performs all aspects of the job, including general laboring and operating equipment; makes it a priority to train others in all aspects of the job. Solves problems as they arise and contacts Superintendent for assistance if unable to resolve the problem. Completes all related electronic paperwork correctly and on time. Ensures compliance and personally follows all safety rules and regulations Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Promote and enforce a safe work environment in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in asphalt paving Supervising experience leading crews in complex projects involving asphalt installation Proficiency with online documentation completion Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and the use of safety equipment Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications preferred Join our team as an Asphalt Foreman where your leadership will drive successful projects while ensuring safety and quality at every step!
