In this energetic role, you will be responsible for applying pavement markings that guide traffic flow, enhance safety, and meet project specifications. Your expertise will ensure that every line, symbol, and marking is accurately painted to meet industry standards, contributing to the overall success of our infrastructure projects. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with heavy equipment and be part of impactful construction initiatives that improve communities. Duties Operate pavement striping equipment to apply lines, symbols, and markings on roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces with precision and efficiency Prepare surfaces by cleaning and ensuring proper adhesion of paint or thermoplastic materials Coordinate with project managers and crew members to follow project plans and safety protocols Use utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before marking or paving operations Assist with the setup of traffic control devices to ensure safety during striping activities Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance Document work progress and complete necessary reports for project records Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and paving machinery Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and utility locating techniques Ability to accurately interpret construction plans and markings specifications Skilled in the operation of Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery used in paving and striping tasks Excellent attention to detail for precise application of pavement markings Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors This role is perfect for individuals passionate about construction work who thrive on teamwork, precision, and contributing to infrastructure development.
