Position :
Senior Landscape Equipment Operator Objective :
The objective of this position is to efficiently and safely operate medium and heavy-duty landscape and irrigation equipment. This position is responsible for leading soil amendment and ground stabilization operations on commercial projects. In addition, this role ensures proper application of hydroseeding, drill seeding, and erosion control methods while operating medium and heavy equipment.

$27-$35/hour

The senior equipment operator is responsible for performing a variety of seeding and erosion control services, including hydroseeding, drill seeding, and straw installation. This includes operating heavy equipment, working outdoors in varying conditions, and contributing to efficient, high-quality project completion.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
  • Ability to manage a small team of equipment operators
  • Execute soil cultivation including amendment, tilling and rough grading
  • Perform hydroseeding operations, including mixing, loading, and applying seed, mulch, fertilizer, and additives
  • Conduct drill seeding for large-scale landscape and reclamation projects
  • Install erosion control measures such as straw crimping, matting, and other stabilization techniques
  • Operate heavy equipment such as hydroseeders, tractors, skid steers, and straw blowers
  • Load and transport materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Follow project specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete jobs on schedule
  • Perform general labor duties as needed, including site preparation and cleanup
  • Following company and safety dress code
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions Job Qualifications Experience & Education
  • Previous experience in landscaping, seeding, erosion control, or similar field preferred
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, tractor, etc.) required
  • Knowledge of hydroseeding and drill seeding processes is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license (Class A CDL is Required)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
