Paving Crew Member

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Screed Operator to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of asphalt paving operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Duties Operate the screed component of the asphalt paver to control the depth and consistency of asphalt being laid Monitor material and adjust screed settings to ensure proper compaction and smooth finish Maintain consistent paving quality in coordination with the paver operator and ground crew Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Follow all safety procedures and participate in crew safety meetings Skills Proven experience as a screed operator (minimum 2 years preferred) Knowledge of asphalt paving and road construction Ability to read and understand grade and slope specifications Physically fit and able to work long hours in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license (CDL is an asset)
