Paving Superintendent Landmark Paving United States, Florida, Sanford Jul 04, 2026 Job Summary - We are seeking a highly skilled Paving Superintendent to oversee all field operations for asphalt paving projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This leadership role manages multiple paving crews across various sites, coordinates logistics and schedules, and serves as the key field liaison between project management, clients, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities - Supervise day-to-day paving operations across multiple active job sites Should be competent in all aspects of parking lot maintenance, concrete repair, asphalt paving, seal-coating, drain structure repairs, signage installation, and general heavy civil construction activities Plan, schedule, and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials for optimal productivity Ensure all work meets or exceeds specifications for quality, safety, and compliance Lead and mentor foremen, operators, and laborers to maintain high performance and crew morale Monitor and enforce site safety standards (OSHA, company policies, traffic control) Work closely with project managers to review plans, resolve issues, and align on scope and schedule Track production rates, equipment usage, labor hours, and material quantities Conduct daily site visits and meetings to assess progress and support field staff Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers Provide input on estimating, constructability, and project planning for upcoming work Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 8+ years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or superintendent role In-depth knowledge of paving methods, materials, equipment, and QC/QA standards Proven ability to manage multiple crews and deliver projects on tight schedules Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build cohesive teams Ability to read and interpret construction plans, grades, and specifications Proficiency in daily reporting, scheduling tools, and production tracking Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
