PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Transports emulsion and liquid asphalt from refineries to dock facilities or asphalt plants. Performs visual inspections of asphalt containers, chassis and tankers. Loads (or gets loaded) with liquid asphalt at rack facility. Unloads liquid asphalt using unloading pump and hoses at HMA facility. Scales truck in loading process. Performs daily maintenance of unloading pump and hoses. Cleans and generally maintains truck, tanks and chassis as needed. May substitute for HMA drivers as needed. Uses forklifts and loader to load/ unload tanks and containers. Checks assigned truck daily by completing required CDL check lists. Follows DOT, OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies. Performs other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma. Experience driving asphalt tanker trucks or similar hazmat products. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations. Ability to read, analyze and interpret job requirements, technical procedures, government regulations; ability to write reports, present information, communicate with customers and vendors. Experience and knowledge operating tanker trucks (single and double), loaders, forklifts (with certification) and unloading pump and hoses. Must be able and willing to work overtime, nights, weekends or holidays as required. Knowledge of asphalt products and the loading/ unloading process. CDL Type A, X, N and T endorsements.
