Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of asphalt paving sites, including moving materials and setting up safety barriers Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, graders, dozers, and front loader trucks under supervision to support paving activities Load and unload asphalt materials, gravel, and other supplies using appropriate machinery like dump trucks and loaders Help with the spreading, leveling, and compaction of asphalt using grading equipment to ensure smooth surfaces Support utility locating efforts to identify underground utilities before excavation or paving begins Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met efficiently and safely Requirements Prior experience working on construction sites or in asphalt paving is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks safely and effectively Basic knowledge of construction processes and site safety standards Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Familiarity with utility locating techniques and tools is a plus Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance Valid driver's license; experience operating Caterpillar equipment is advantageous Join us as an Asphalt Laborer and be part of a dedicated team committed to building lasting infrastructure!
