Missoula, MT Type of Construction/Work they perform : Civil Construction / Utilities / Sitework (Residential, Commercial, Government or Federal) Job Overview Advantage Asphalt Paving LLC is seeking an experienced Dirtwork / Asphalt Prep Foreman to lead grading and site preparation crews on residential, commercial, and government paving projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for setting grades, coordinating daily work, operating equipment when needed, and ensuring each site is properly prepared for paving operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise dirtwork and asphalt preparation crews Read and interpret plans, set grades, and coordinate daily jobsite activities Ensure sites are properly prepared for paving, meeting quality and production standards Operate equipment as needed to support grading and prep operations Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety policies Communicate effectively with management and crew members to keep projects on schedule Lead by example with professionalism, workmanship, and accountability Qualifications 4+ years of experience in dirtwork and asphalt prep preferred Previous foreman or lead experience required Strong knowledge of grading, site prep, and paving support operations Ability to read plans and set grades accurately Hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills Reliable, motivated, and safety-focused Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus, but not required)
