Asphalt Laborer

Duties Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading, leveling, and compacting asphalt surfaces. Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, rollers and asphalt pavers. Support the setup and maintenance of construction sites by preparing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or paving begins. Load and unload construction materials using appropriate machinery like dump trucks or loaders. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while upholding quality standards. Qualifications Prior experience in construction or paving projects is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as skid steers, rollers and asphalt pavers is highly desirable. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and utility locating techniques. Basic understanding of asphalt paving processes and construction workflows. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job. Valid driver's license.
