Position Overview Our asphalt plant laborer will perform a wide range of general duties at an asphalt plant including but not limited to: shoveling, moving materials, and maintain good housekeeping while adhering to all safety regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies, rules and regulations of OSHA/MSHA and Pennsy Supply, Inc. Determines need for fuel, coolants, lubricants, ignition aids, and adds as needed; inspects, lubricates, and services truck and reports condition of vehicle to Supervisor Preparedness to learn dozer, excavator, plant loader, pit loader and pit hauler and any other mobile equipment associated to the quarry operation Sustains high degree of care and attention required to prevent injury to others in highly congested areas Maintains correct stockpiling techniques to ensure material does not segregate Responsible to stockpile proper product on correct stockpiles Assist the plant operator when needed. Remove dust from the dust silo. Clean materials under conveyors and plant areas. Performs general laboring duties when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check. Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations. Education/Experience High school Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience working in or around an asphalt plant helpful but not required. What CRH Offers You Want more jobs like this?
