Paving Superintendent - TN

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of multiple paving, concrete, and milling crews and supervisors Coordinate daily setup of trucks, plants, equipment, and materials for active job sites Review and approve employee timecards daily for accuracy and tracking Monitor job site safety, work quality, and production goals Participate in weekly scheduling and operations meetings with leadership Ensure crews are properly equipped with necessary tools and equipment Coordinate delivery of equipment and materials with transportation and hauling personnel Assist with job scheduling and resource planning alongside other operations leaders Ensure crews arrive on time, trucks are loaded efficiently, and departures remain on schedule Clearly communicate project requirements and expectations to crew leaders Oversee punch list completion and final inspections Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance team immediately Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on project demands Verify time and material usage aligns with job orders and production goals Provide crew leaders with necessary supplier, plant, and trucking contact information Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Extensive knowledge of asphalt paving operations and equipment Ability to operate paving equipment including pavers, rollers, and related machinery Comfortable utilizing technology and software including smartphones, tablets, and computers Proven leadership ability with experience building and motivating effective teams Strong coaching and mentoring skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually 401(k) with company match Health, dental, vision, and ancillary insurance Paid time off Employee referral program Relocation assistance available for the right candidate Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdf The pay transparency policy is available here: https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdf For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
