Job Description

Paving Foreman Salt Lake City, UT Full-time Full-time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Properly follow all company policies and
OSHA/MSHA
regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to their Supervisor, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager. Delegate tasks to employees within their crew. Independently make decisions regarding production on a daily basis. Assist construction/paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling and raking, running wheelbarrow, safely backing/dumping trucks into paver. Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials with shovel. Occasionally digs, spreads, and levels construction materials. Lifts, carries and holds material, tools and supplies. Assists in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices. Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant. A working knowledge of customer specifications will be necessary to ensure a quality project avoiding re-work or punch list work. Effective interpersonal and communication skills; building rapport, listening, presenting, giving and receiving feedback. High standard of ethics, integrity and trust. Must be able to pass pre

Must possess a valid driver's license. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook. Moderate travel required; must be willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed. Must be available as needed during non-traditional work hours. Must be able to work independently and with groups. Must be able to work under time constraints as needed.
