Full-Time / Travel Position Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Grader Operator for a large asphalt preparation project in Ashton, VA. The Ashton assignment is expected to last approximately 2 months and includes preparation of nearly 1 million sq. ft. for asphalt installation. After completion of the Ashton project, this position will continue as a full-time travel role supporting company projects in multiple states. This position requires experience with finish grading, stone preparation, and working with GPS machine control systems. Responsibilities Operate motor grader for site grading and asphalt base preparation Perform fine grading and leveling according to project specifications Prepare stone and aggregate surfaces for asphalt installation Work with GPS grading systems for accurate elevation and slope control Follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor instructions Coordinate with excavation and hauling crews on site Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Maintain safe operation standards on active construction sites Requirements Previous grader operating experience required Finish grading experience preferred GPS machine control experience preferred Experience with Trimble, Topcon, or Leica systems is a plus Experience in roadwork, asphalt preparation, grading, or earthwork projects Valid driver's license required OSHA 10 preferred MSHA certification is a plus Must be willing to travel full-time between company projects Pay $30-35 per hour depending on experience
