Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boiler Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and maintaining commercial and/or industrial boiler systems. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on a wide range of boiler systems and related equipment. Diagnose operational issues and recommend cost-effective solutions. Conduct combustion analysis, burner tuning, and efficiency testing. Install and commission new boilers and associated components when required. Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety regulations, and industry codes. Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when needed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and preventive maintenance needs. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service requests. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience in boiler service and maintenance (commercial or industrial). Strong knowledge of boiler systems, burners, controls, and fuel systems. Proficiency in combustion analysis and burner tuning. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and work in various environments.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
ASME Boiler Operator License or equivalent. Experience with low- and high-pressure steam systems. Knowledge of hydronic systems, pumps, and valves. Familiarity with PLC controls and automation.
