Full Job Description Senior Boiler Technician Location:
Houston, TX Pay Rate:
$28 - $40ph A well-established industrial services company is seeking an experienced Boiler Technician to support operations across large-scale manufacturing and industrial facilities in the Houston area. This position requires a hands-on expert with strong knowledge of high- and low-pressure boiler systems, steam distribution, and combustion controls. Key Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial boiler systems Service fire-tube, water-tube, and package boilers Perform combustion tuning and efficiency optimization Diagnose and repair burners, valves, pumps, and feedwater systems Monitor water chemistry and treatment programs Conduct boiler startups, shutdowns, and safety checks Interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability Respond to emergency service calls as needed Maintain accurate service documentation and reports Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and company standards Collaborate with operations and engineering teams Qualifications 5+ years of industrial boiler maintenance experience Strong knowledge of steam systems and combustion processes Experience with high-pressure boilers preferred Understanding of ASME and NBIC standards Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems Experience with PLCs and burner management systems (BMS) Strong mechanical aptitude Valid driver's license Preferred Stationary Engineer License or Boiler Operator Certification OEM training (Cleaver-Brooks, Hurst, Fulton, Miura, etc.) Experience in petrochemical or manufacturing environments Welding or pipefitting experience a plus OSHA safety training Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay (DOE) Overtime opportunities Company vehicle and tools Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO) Training and career growth opportunities
