Job Description

Is this you? Do you thrive turning complex blueprints into safe, efficient pipe runs? Are you skilled with valves, regulators, traps, boilers, and high-pressure hydraulic systems? Can you balance precision fabrication with fast, reliable maintenance decisions on the floor? What you'll do Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair mechanical piping systems. Interpret blueprints to select pipe types and plan optimal routing and installation methods. Lay out, cut, and build systems of pipes, valves, traps, regulators, and related hardware from drawings or verbal direction. Repair and maintain all varieties of valves, regulators, and traps. Maintain high-pressure hydraulics; service boilers, associated piping/accessories, steam-jacketed pressure vessels, the sewage plant and clarifier, and linseed/hydraulic oil separators. Make sound salvage-versus-scrap judgments for components pulled from service. Pitch in with other maintenance crafts to get the job done. Tools & equipment Standard craft tools: hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, chisels, levels, etc. Transportation vehicles Overhead crane Oil cans and grease guns Work environment Work at heights and in confined spaces as needed. Operate solo with minimal supervision or in tandem with other maintenance crafts. Navigate hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy areas depending on assignment. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalency. Valid driver's license. Skills assessment required. Willing and able to work shifts and rotating schedules, with daily/weekend overtime and call-outs for repairs, downtime reduction, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis. Minimum 4 years in manufacturing and/or heavy industrial skilled trades.
