Join our dynamic construction team as a Stone Mason, where you'll bring craftsmanship and precision to a variety of building projects. As a vital contributor to our crew, you'll be responsible for constructing durable and aesthetically pleasing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to restoration and renovation efforts, utilizing your expertise in masonry and related trades. Your skills will help shape the foundation of impressive structures while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site. Must have 15 years of experience Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and layout plans. Mix mortar and prepare materials for laying bricks, blocks, stone, stucco, or other masonry units with precision. Install rebar reinforcement and form concrete structures accurately according to engineering plans. Construct walls, facades, fireplaces, patios, retaining walls, and other hardscape features with attention to detail. Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools including saws and drills safely and effectively. Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing surfaces, applying caulking or plastering as needed for restoration or renovation projects. Utilize heavy equipment when necessary for lifting or moving large materials; ensure proper operation and safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate project phases seamlessly. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly. Follow safety guidelines rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Qualifications Proven experience in masonry construction including bricklaying, concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco application, tile laying, and metal stud framing. Skilled in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for precise project execution. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry work; ability to operate heavy equipment when required. Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource management. Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Ability to perform demolition or restoration work as needed; experience with renovation projects is a plus. Excellent physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
