Job Description
Experienced Chimney Mason & Crew Lead — Ransom Chimney Services Ransom Chimney Services is hiring an experienced chimney mason to lead jobs and run a crew of roughly three. This is a skilled masonry position for a pro who can rebuild and repair chimneys to a high standard, manage a team, and run clean, organized job sites. What you'll do: Rebuild and repair chimneys, including full rebuilds, partial rebuilds, and brick replacement Perform crown repairs and rebuilds, flashing work, tuckpointing, and parging Match existing brick and mortar as closely as possible on repair work Install flue tiles, liners, and caps as part of masonry restoration Perform fireplace and firebox masonry repair and rebuild work Smoke chamber parging and interior chimney masonry work Lead a crew of roughly three on daily jobs, assigning tasks and keeping work moving efficiently Set up, secure, and break down scaffolding around work areas per OSHA standards Work on roofs of varying pitches and heights using proper fall protection (harnesses, anchor points, lifelines) Protect roofs, gutters, landscaping, and interior surfaces during setup and breakdown Keep tools, materials, and the job site organized throughout the day Communicate professionally with homeowners and represent the company well progress, materials used, and hours to the office daily
Requirements:
Proven chimney masonry experience — able to rebuild and repair chimneys with quality craftsmanship Skilled in brick laying, mortar matching, crown work, flashing, and interior firebox work Experience leading a crew on job sites Solid understanding of scaffolding setup and jobsite safety (OSHA familiarity required) Comfortable working at heights on steep pitches Reliable and on time, every day — punctuality is non-negotiable Highly organized with tools, materials, and crew management Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Professional, respectful, and customer-facing ready What we offer: Competitive pay based on experience Busy masonry season with steady work Respectful, skilled crew and a well-run operation Opportunity to grow with an established local business To apply: email ransomchimneyservices@gmail.com with a brief summary of your experience and references if available.Job Types:
