In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from new builds to renovation and restoration efforts. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about craftsmanship. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Mix and apply mortar or concrete to secure materials in place while maintaining proper alignment and levelness. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming tasks to ensure structural integrity. Execute finishing techniques such as plastering, stucco application, caulking, and tile laying for a polished look. Operate heavy equipment safely when required for large-scale projects or site preparation. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, metal stud framers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project phases effectively. Read construction plans accurately and adapt work accordingly during renovation or restoration projects. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Experience Proven experience in masonry construction with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Skilled in concrete finishing, rebar installation, form building, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material take-offs. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Knowledge of various masonry techniques including hardscape installation, tile laying, stucco application, and trim carpentry. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards. Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers; power tools including saws and drills; as well as specialized equipment like welding machines when necessary.
