Job Summary:
In this position, you will c o nstruct, i nsta l l, r e pair and m ainta i n m ason / r e fract o r y -lined s t ruc t ures and e q u i p me nt i ncl u di n g ass o cia t ed furnace e q u ipm e nt, and f l o oring.
Qualifications:
Employee must be able to perform essential job functions of this department. Proof of experience demonstrated by journey level card or verifiable resume. This department is on a 12-hour shift schedule, 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am Job duties include: Plan, construct refractory patterns, incidental forms, and filter boxes. Lay refractory brick masonry brick, tile insulation and cement blocks, mix and place castable refractories, plaster grouting, pre-cast materials and diffuser tubes. Perform limited burning and welding. Operate industrial and automotive trucks, pendant, overhead controlled cranes and aerial personnel lifts. Set up scaffolding and rigging. Prepare surfaces for painting and apply coatings. Use brushes and compressed air spray equipment to apply coatings. Gun furnaces. Set up and operate band and table saws, drill press, transit, or level. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and sketches. Use imaging system to make updates and changes. Enter time, keep records logs, and reports.

6-month Training/Probationary Level- Job Grade 26 Progresses to a Journey Level - Job Grade 29 You have: (required) High School Diploma or GED Proof of experience demonstrated by journey level card or verifiable resume.
