Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and renovation sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team committed to high-quality craftsmanship and innovative building solutions. Responsibilities Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials following detailed blueprints and schematics. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents to ensure secure placement. Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and power tools including mixers and saws to execute precise masonry work. Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to strengthen structures in accordance with construction estimates and safety standards. Perform concrete finishing tasks like smoothing surfaces and applying stucco or plaster for aesthetic and protective purposes. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure all construction aligns with project specifications. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, heavy equipment operators, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects to achieve seamless integration of building elements. Requirements Proven experience in masonry construction with a strong understanding of concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, stucco application, and heavy equipment operation. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools essential for bricklaying, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, and welding. Ability to read blueprints and schematics confidently to interpret project plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and experience working on diverse sites including renovation projects or restoration efforts. Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods while performing demanding manual tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with the capacity to communicate effectively across different trades within the construction environment.
