Job Description

Job Description Overview Community First is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team with our luxury Memory Care and Assisted Living Facilities in Mason, OH! The Sous Chef provides culinary production and support to the Director of Culinary Services/Executive Chef in an optimized and efficient manner and in compliance with regulatory standards. Our culinary back-of-house team members are responsible for the impeccable execution of each and every recipe, in addition to maintaining food quality and kitchen standards. This position performs the duties of the Executive Chef when chef is not on the property.

Compensation:
Starts at $48,000 per year and goes up based on years of experience .

All food must be labeled, dated and stored in accordance with local, state and county health department policies Ensures an adequate number of culinary employees each shift and ensures absences are covered as to not allow coverage holes Assists in menu and recipe development Assists in food ordering and inventory Assists in the adherence to maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs Assists in applying appropriate loss prevention procedures Assists in training, scheduling, of employees in accordance with CFS policies Assists in the coordination and execution of special events Maintains daily interaction with residents The ability to work in a safe and alert manner and the ability to take ownership for team member's own safety. Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. Abides by the company Always Behaviors each and every day as we serve our clients, colleagues, and community.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred Licenses or other required certifications: Serv Safe certified
Experience:
At least one-year related experience Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities: • Strong leadership capabilities • Competent cooking skills and ability to follow recipes Knowledge of food safety, safe food processing and preserving raw food Patience and a love for cooking
