Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including the ability to restore and renovate structures. This role requires proficiency in various masonry techniques and the use of power tools, as well as the capability to read blueprints and schematics. The Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, and concrete. Duties Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, stones, or concrete blocks. Apply plaster to walls and ceilings for finishing purposes. Perform concrete finishing tasks to ensure a smooth surface on poured concrete. Utilize concrete forming techniques to create molds for various structures. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Use power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of masonry work. Restore historical buildings and structures while adhering to preservation standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Skills Proficiency in roof installation and repair techniques. Strong knowledge of plastering methods and materials. Experience with concrete finishing and forming processes. Familiarity with trim carpentry practices is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Competence in using various power tools related to masonry work. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
