In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work across a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Your expertise will ensure durable, aesthetically pleasing structures by applying advanced bricklaying techniques and collaborating effectively with other trades. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while contributing to impactful construction projects that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Lay bricks, blocks, and stones with precision, following blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Prepare mortar beds and mix concrete accurately for various masonry applications. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming to support structural elements. Execute finishing tasks such as concrete smoothing, plastering, stucco application, and caulking to achieve polished surfaces. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan masonry layouts effectively. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently on construction sites. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, metal stud framers, and other trades to coordinate project phases and ensure seamless workflow. Assist with renovation and restoration projects by matching existing materials and techniques for cohesive results. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety standards at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Bricklayer or in a similar masonry role with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings related to masonry work. Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including mixers and saws; as well as scaffolding and other heavy equipment safely. Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of masonry work. Valid construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints accurately is essential; certifications in welding or plastering are a plus.
