Stone Installer (Residential/Commercial)

Tate Ornamental is seeking a skilled and dependable Stone Installer with hands-on experience installing granite, quartz, marble, and other solid surface products in high-end residential and commercial environments. We are looking for craftsmen who take pride in precision work, professionalism, and delivering exceptional finished products to customers.

This position is ideal for experienced installers who can work efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service. Duties/Responsibilities Install granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, recycled surfaces, and solid surface countertops Read and interpret shop drawings, field measurements, and installation layouts Safely transport, unload, maneuver, and install stone materials on-site Perform seam work, leveling, polishing, cutouts, and final adjustments as needed Operate hand tools, polishers, grinders, and specialty stone fabrication/installation equipment Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and project managers Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Work closely with foremen and team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule Follow all company and OSHA safety standards Experience/Skills Minimum 3-5 years of granite, quartz, or natural stone installation experience Strong understanding of stone handling, seam placement, support requirements, and installation best practices Ability to read and understand construction drawings and installation plans Experience working in residential homes and commercial job sites High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated in the field Willingness to travel to job sites as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-end custom stone installations Forklift certification CDL or experience towing trailers is a plus Experience with field modifications and troubleshooting on-site challenges Physical Requirements Ability to lift and maneuver heavy stone materials (100+ lbs with team assistance/equipment) Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments Manual dexterity and precision required for detailed finish work Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.
