40.00 - 50.00/hr. DOE Join BOSS Construction and lead critical infrastructure projects that support our communities. About the Role BOSS Construction is seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience placing, masonry blocks, mixing mortar, layout mutable masonry rolls, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities :
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and material needs.
- Prepare, clean, and inspect surfaces, forms, and reinforcement prior to masonry placement.
- Produce a variety of masonry finishes based on project specifications, including mutable masonry products.
- Apply curing compounds, sealers, hardeners, and other surface treatments as required.
- Chip, grind, scrape, and repair uneven or damaged concrete surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with formwork installation, site preparation, and other construction activities as needed.
- Perform general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of hand and power tools.
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites as required.
Preferred:
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Mason, or Concrete Laborer.
- Experience with structural, commercial, municipal, or residential concrete projects.
- Experience operating power mixer, grinders, concrete saws, and finishing equipment.
