Reliable Home Repair, Inc is a small, family-owned general contracting company. We specialize in residential remodels, water mitigation, deck and fence construction, kitchen and bath renovations. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and building strong relationships with our clients. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Journeyman Carpenter to join our team and help us continue to deliver exceptional results.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to perform a wide range of carpentry tasks on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of rough and finish carpentry, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently as well as part of a small team. A commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Rough Carpentry:
Framing walls, floors, and roofs. Installing subflooring, sheathing, and siding. Setting windows and exterior doors. Constructing decks, fences, and pergolas.
Finish Carpentry:
Installing interior trim, baseboards, and LVP flooring. Hanging and installing interior doors and windows. Building and installing custom shelving, and built-ins. Installing hardware and fixtures.
General Construction Tasks:
Managing a small crew. Reading and interpreting simple blueprints and construction drawings. Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials. Collaborating with the project manager. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Communicating effectively with clients, when necessary, in a professional manner. Performing other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5 years of verifiable experience as a Journeyman Carpenter or equivilent experiance. Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Possess basic hand tools. Ability to lift heavy objects(50lb) and perform physically demanding work.
