ELM Construction LLC Residential Carpenter (Remodeling)
Location:
Birmingham, AL (serving surrounding areas including Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Hoover) Craftsmanship That Shows. Character That Matters. ELM Construction LLC is a residential design-build remodeling company serving homeowners throughout the Birmingham metro area. The company specializes in thoughtful renovations, restorations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home transformations. ELM is known for combining exceptional design, a proven process, and high-quality construction. We are looking for an experienced Residential Carpenter who takes pride in quality work, communicates professionally, and understands the importance of representing the company well inside clients' homes. The Residential Carpente r will work on a variety of residential remodeling projects. This position requires someone who is versatile, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on different types of carpentry and remodeling tasks from week to week. One week may include trim and hardware installation, while another may involve drywall repairs, jobsite protection, exterior work, framing, or other remodeling tasks. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well with project managers, production leadership, teammates, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities Perform residential remodeling and carpentry work with attention to detail Complete jobsite preparation and protection, including floor protection, dust control, and barrier walls Assist with clean and careful demolition Perform rough framing and finish framing Install windows, exterior doors, siding, interior trim, hardware, and appliances Complete drywall repairs, painting, staining, and other remodeling tasks as needed Assist with excavation, concrete prep, small slabs, and pier footings when needed Maintain jobsite cleanliness and professionalism Record time daily and include notes on work performed Submit receipts and job photos in a timely manner Follow directions from the Project Manager and Production Manager Communicate clearly about materials, jobsite needs, design clarifications, and project concerns Take ownership of assigned work and actively help reduce rework Qualifications 5+ years of carpentry or residential remodeling experience preferred Strong knowledge of residential construction and remodeling tasks Ability to perform a variety of carpentry and repair work Finish carpentry experience preferred Ability to work respectfully and professionally in occupied client homes Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship Reliable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented Ability to follow directions, ask good questions, and take ownership of work Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Pay and Benefits Full-time. W-2
Employment Pay:
$22
