About Us Papago Vans is a premier builder of luxury adventure vans, crafting custom conversions for clients across the country. We transform Mercedes Sprinters, Ford Transits and Ram ProMasters into fully equipped camper vans with beautiful all-wood cabinetry, complete plumbing systems, solar-powered electrical setups and premium finishes. About the Role We are looking for a skilled Carpenter/Builder to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will build cabinetry, run plumbing and electrical, and assemble the components that turn a bare van into a fully functioning adventure vehicle. You will work alongside a passionate team that takes pride in precision craftsmanship, quality work and delivering a premium product. This role is best suited for someone with hands-on experience in home building, remodeling, RV/van conversion, fabrication, boat building or similar trades. This is not a role for applicants with concrete carpentry experience only. Responsibilities Build and install custom all-wood cabinetry, trim and interior finishes Run plumbing for sinks, showers and fresh/gray water tanks Install 110V electrical, solar components and appliances Measure, cut and assemble materials using saws, drills, drivers and other power tools Work closely with the build team to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines Maintain a clean, organized work area Follow all shop safety procedures Requirements Minimum 2+ years of experience in home building, home remodeling, boat building, RV/van conversion, fabrication or similar hands-on trade work Minimum 2+ years of experience using power tools, including drills, saws and other woodworking equipment Proficiency with both power saws and hand saws Strong understanding of measurements, basic math and proper use of a tape measure Strong understanding of basic construction techniques, including cabinet assembly and trim work Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems Experience running water lines, installing tanks or wiring 110V and 12V systems is a plus Ability to lift, carry and maneuver materials weighing 50+ lbs regularly Comfortable working in tight spaces and in sitting, standing, crouching and kneeling positions for extended periods Ability to comfortably get in and out of vans multiple times throughout the day Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship Ability to follow build plans and work both independently and as part of a team Why Join Papago Vans Competitive pay and full benefits 3-day weekends every week Tight-knit, fun work environment with frequent team events Opportunity to learn multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and solar Be part of building one-of-a-kind luxury adventure vans seen across the country How to Apply Ready to join the team and help build some of the most beautiful adventure vans on the road?
