Coronado, CA Job Details Full-time $19.00 - $20.75 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Qualifications Sweeping Teamwork Construction industry experience Ability to follow instructions Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer/Carpenter Assistant and be a vital part of building projects from the ground up! In this energetic role, you'll assist skilled tradespeople by performing physically demanding tasks, supporting site safety, and ensuring the smooth progress of construction activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help turn blueprints into reality, contributing to the creation of safe, durable, and high-quality structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist with site preparation, BMP oversite, including unloading materials, setting up equipment, and clearing debris and trash to maintain a safe work environment. Lock up gates at end of day. Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by fetching tools, supplies, and materials as needed Perform basic construction tasks such as inventory of delivery items, check floor protection for holes or damage, protect thresholds, clean sliding door tracks, organize/stack excess materials. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Operate hand tools and light machinery under supervision to aid in various construction activities Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety on-site. Pick up tools and store in one place. Make sure dumpster is closed at end of day. Magnet sweep around dumpster and sweep job site at end of day. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment throughout the workday Skills Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor for extended periods Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team Basic understanding of construction safety practices and protocols Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on-site Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for project success Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not required; training will be provided Join us in building something great!
