About GD Woodworks Inc. GD Woodworks Inc. is a custom cabinetry and woodworking business specializing in high-quality handcrafted cabinets for homes and businesses. We take pride in creating beautiful, functional pieces that last a lifetime. We're a small, growing shop looking for a motivated apprentice to join our team and grow with us. Position Overview We are hiring a cabinetry apprentice who already has some knowledge of cabinet making and is eager to learn advanced techniques from experienced craftsmen. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly on custom projects while developing your skills Responsibilities Assist in building and assembling custom cabinets and woodworking projects Learn and apply cabinetry techniques including measuring, joining, finishing and cutting Edge banding parts and cleaning them. Prepare materials, sanding and finish pieces Maintain a clean and organized workshop Follow project plans and specifications to ensure quality standards Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines. Requirements Some prior knowledge or experience with cabinetry or woodworking (school, hobby etc.) Strong desire to learn and grow in the trade Reliable, punctual, and detal-oriented Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Basic math and measurement skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices is beneficial Strong communication skills and a safety-conscious attitude are highly valued Basic reading of schematics or blueprints is a plus No formal degree required - we value hands-on experience and a willingness to learn more than anything else. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
