Measure, cut, shape, sand, stain, paint, finish, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Review and interpret layouts, drawings, elevations, proofs, measurements, work orders, material requirements, and fabrication instructions prior to beginning assigned production work. Verify materials, dimensions, quantities, finishes, hardware, and production details before beginning assigned work. Support custom builds, retail displays, remodels, rollouts, and project-based production needs. Prepare, organize, and stage materials, hardware, finishes, and production supplies to support accurate fabrication, efficient workflow, and successful project completion. Maintain strong attention to detail, accurate measurements, quality workmanship, and care throughout all phases of fabrication and assembly to reduce errors, rework, waste, and avoidable delays. Complete touch-ups, adjustments, repairs, labeling, packaging, staging, and final quality checks to ensure fabricated items are clean, accurate, properly finished, protected, and ready for delivery, installation, or next-stage production. Maintain organized work areas, tools, materials, and fabrication spaces. Fabrication Specialties There are several specialties within this position based on operational needs, project scopes, and departmental support requirements.
Specialty areas may include:
carpenters, welders, painters, finishers, assemblers, CNC/router support, and general fabrication support. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of fabrication, woodworking, production, carpentry, signage, trades, or related experience preferred. Experience working in fast-paced fabrication, production, warehouse, field-support, or related operational environments with changing priorities, project timelines, and occasional travel preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Experience driving larger vehicles, such as high-roof transit vans, and operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or similar equipment preferred. Experience operating hand tools, power tools, saws, sanders, pneumatic tools, or fabrication equipment preferred. OSHA certification, forklift certification, or other safety certifications preferred. Ability to read tape measures, layouts, elevations, diagrams, blueprints, proofs, and fabrication instructions. Basic proficiency with smartphones, email, Microsoft Teams, and digital communication platforms preferred. Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production and field environments. Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership and team members. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, efficient, quality-focused workmanship that supports successful production, delivery, installation, and project completion. Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented under pressure. Ability to communicate and work collaboratively across multiple departments and support team success.
