Full-Time About SPC Building Services SPC Building Services is a leading commercial restoration contractor specializing in waterproofing, concrete restoration,repairs, painting, and building envelope rehabilitation. We serve commercial properties, multifamily communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced craftsman with extensive knowledge of wood framing, balcony repairs, dry rot remediation, fascia replacement, waterproofing preparation, and exterior restoration projects. Job Summary The Carpenter will be responsible for performing structural wood repairs, balcony reconstruction, fascia and trim replacement, waterproofing preparation, and exterior building restoration. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in occupied commercial and multifamily environments. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of building envelope systems, moisture intrusion repairs, and restoration construction practices while maintaining SPC's commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism. ResponsibilitiesWood Framing & Structural Repairs Construct, repair, and modify wood framing systems. Install and replace studs, headers, beams, joists, blocking, and structural components. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans. Identify structural deficiencies and recommend repair solutions. Balcony & Deck Restoration Remove and replace damaged framing, sheathing, and structural components. Perform balcony, deck, stairway, and elevated walkway repairs. Install waterproofing substrates, flashing systems, and related building envelope components. Repair water-damaged and dry-rotted structural members. Fascia, Trim & Exterior Wood Repairs Remove and replace fascia boards, trim, siding, and exterior architectural elements. Repair moisture-damaged wood assemblies. Ensure proper alignment, installation, and finish quality. Waterproofing & Coatings Preparation Prepare substrates for waterproofing and protective coating applications. Perform grinding, sanding, patching, demolition, and surface preparation. Assist restoration crews with project-specific waterproofing requirements. Follow manufacturer specifications and quality control procedures. General Construction Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and construction equipment safely. Maintain clean and organized job sites. Complete work efficiently while meeting project schedules. Follow all OSHA and SPC safety requirements. RequirementsRequired Experience Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience. Strong background in wood framing and structural repairs. Extensive experience with balcony repairs and dry rot remediation. Experience replacing fascia boards, trim, siding, and exterior wood components. Knowledge of waterproofing systems and restoration construction practices. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Experience working on commercial, multifamily projects. Additional Qualifications Reliable transportation. Valid California Real ID Required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour
