Construction Tradesmen - High End Finish Carpenter (5+ Years)

About us Houck Construction Inc We are a privately held family business that has operated in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years and have built & remodeled some of Los Angeles' most luxurious homes. We are looking for a seasoned Carpenter to join our community of tradesmen, continue our reputation for the highest quality and best service. The schedule for the position will be full-time, 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturdays & Overtime) and earns a competitive pay rate that will differ based on position and level of experience. Candidate is expected to be tooled up with the equipment required to perform carpentry and general construction duties. Duties include but are not limited to: Complete all tasks on time and to a high standard Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from doors & windows, cabinets, insulation, tile, and drywall. Perform work in accordinace with best saftey practices Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition Operation of hand, air, and power tools Moving, securing, installing, building, loading, or unloading materials Assisting in the building or construction of various things Performance of assorted tasks such as, digging, pipe laying, masonry, sweeping, usage of small machinery, moving debris/dirt. Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training

• Physical demands : While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and legs.

They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Qualifications & Experience Verifiable work history that shows professional skills and experience Experience with high end residential ground up and remodel projects Exellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Strong work ethic Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipement and measurement tools Willingness to adhere to always adhere to saftey guidelines Good understanding of basic math In addition to great pay and our supportive environment, we offer the following benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k)
